My Go-To Recipe For British Scones!

I have been making scones for many years and I have tried a lot of different recipes.  I could never quite figure out how the perfect scones were made.   You know what I mean – delicious with a lovely light and buttery crumb, a uniform shape and clean sides. 

This changed when I came across a recipe that uses a very different method to that which most of us are traditionally taught.  This recipe is now the one I use whenever I make scones, and it works every time.

So, give it a go and then enjoy them with your favourite toppings – in my view you still can’t beat strawberry jam and clotted cream!

The recipe is set out in a pdf, with all the information you need on the equipment required (basic baking utensils only), the ingredients, the method and guidance on storage.  I have also included some suggestions for alternative flavourings (e.g. Earl Grey soaked sultanas).
